Guardia Architects has extensive experience in the design of multi-family and single-family housing, with a track record of wold-class, published designs over a broad range of cost, from luxury houses & lofts to rental apartment buildings built to exacting budgets.Our work incorporates new construction, renovation of existing and historic buildings, and the combination of the two. Our academic qualifications include architectural design, historic preservation and extensive expertise in construction techniques and materials, with training at the architecture schools at Harvard and Columbia.We focus on providing first class design, which is practical, and on budget.

Sergio Guardia PrincipalMr. Guardia has a Masters Degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Houston. He established his New York based practice in 1998. He has an extensive experience in the architectural field; before forming his practice, he worked for reputable firms in Chicago and New York City. Mr. Guardia is an accomplished professional, with 20 years of experience. He has ability to handle projects of different uses, scales and budgets, maintaining high standards of design and overall work. He has worked on projects ranging from an entire waterfront proposal of 26 acres to loft remodelings in Manhattan. His experience includes the completion of various multi-family housing projects, school and commercial remodelings, single family homes and planning studies. His work has been recognized by his peers and has been published in a variety of publications. Mr. Guardia provides a balance between program, design and budget, creating a product that is pragmatic, sophisticated and well designed.Huntley Gill AssociateTrained in historic preservation at the Graduate School of Architecture and Planning at Columbia University, and with a degree in Architectural History from Vassar, Mr. Gill has a varied background in architectural preservation, construction and real estate development. Past COO of Timcris Construction; past Vice-President of Walker, Malloy & Co, Inc, a firm specializing in adaptive use of buildings on the Upper West Side of Manhattan; past consultant to The Hahn Company, the retail real estate developer. Committed to historic vessel preservation efforts. Past or present Director of Landmark West!, Save Our Ships New York, State Council on Waterways, Lilac Preservation Project, Times Square Business Improvement District, Pegasus Preservation Project, North River Historic Ship Society, and a founder of the new Kingston Maritime & Transport Museum. Nathaniel LindseyHas a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Mr. Lindsey brings over eleven years of experience with an emphasis on technical coordination to the projects he manages. He has worked closely with engineers and contractors to resolve conflicts during the design process and on-site during construction. As a crucial member of a design-build team, he accomplished the completion of several residential apartment buildings in Hoboken, NJ. Past projects also include gut-rehab work apartment buildings, additions to single-family homes, restaurant and bar renovations, industrial loft conversions, and retail build-outs.
